Service Through Patriotism
Patriotic Holidays
Bee Line Chapter participates in honoring our fallen veterans at celebrations for Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Bee Line encourages participation in Independence Day events and is looking forward to our nation’s semiquincentennial in 2026.

Constitution Week

September 17 - 23 is Constitution Week, observance for the foundation of the American form of government. The Constitution is one of the three founding documents known collectively as the Charters of Freedom. It is a living document that assures each citizen of the freedoms Americans cherish and appreciate. Bee Line annually celebrates through events and displays, including one at our local county fair.

Naturalization Ceremonies

Whenever possible, Bee Line Chapter participates in naturalization ceremonies helping to congratulate new citizens. We provide each of them with pocket copies of the Constitution, an American flag pin and bookmarks with the Preamble of the Constitution.
Veterans Affairs Medical Center

Bee Line supports our Nation’s armed forces and our veterans by focusing on the needs of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in nearby Martinsburg. Our activities range from conducting monthly karaoke sessions for in-patients to providing food and a sympathetic presence for the VAMC’s biannual memorial services. Our support also includes a series of seasonal activities to meet the particular needs of women veterans. Finally, as a special “Thank You for Your Service” to veterans and staff alike, we have placed a wall tree of our own design near the VAMC lobby. The tree’s decoration changes monthly and has proven to be highly popular with passersby.
